Softtek Holds Official Inauguration Ceremony of Wuxi Global Delivery Center

Ceremony Reinforces Softtek’s Strategic View of Company’s Chinese Operations

MONTERREY, Mexico / WUXI, China, March 3, 2010 – Softtek, a global provider of IT and business process solutions and the largest private IT service provider in Latin America, announced that it has inaugurated its newest global delivery center in Wuxi, China with an opening ceremony. The ceremony took place today with dignitaries from both the Chinese and Mexican Governments and emphasized Softtek’s increased commitment to its global customer base.

Softtek’s Wuxi global delivery center (GDC), which began operating in July 2009, marks the company’s second GDC in China and ninth center, globally. Designed to host approximately 200 workstations during the initial phase, Softtek expects the center to reach full capacity by Q4 2010. From Wuxi, Softtek’s clients will receive a more robust global delivery model as well as high-productivity application life-cycle services, which combine high quality with ‘round-the clock support and nearshore proximity.

The GDC – located in the environmentally sustainable Wuxi Tai Hu New Town Science and Education Industrial Park – provides world class software development and application maintenance & support, while offering the latest gold standards in security, telecommunications and process compliance. Softtek chose Wuxi not only for its impressive facilities but also for its close proximity to China’s leading Universities, from where the company will expand its talent pool.

Mexican Ambassador to China Jorge Guajardo Gonzalez, Secretary of the Wuxi Municipal Communist Party of China Committee Mr. Yang Weize, and Secretary of the Municipal Party of the Binhu District Mr. Zhu Weiping were welcomed by Beni Lopez, CEO of Softtek Near Shore® Services. Softtek China General Manager Gustavo Carrillo hosted the event.

Said Beni Lopez, “We would like to acknowledge the robust programs, which the governments of Mexico and China enacted to promote the IT services industry. Without the unyielding support from the governments of Jiangsu, Wuxi, and Binhu, we would not be privileged to have our second home in Wuxi.” Lopez continued, “We look forward to expanding our Chinese operations and to giving our customers yet another reason to prefer our Global Nearshore™ model.”

“Softtek is a perfect example of the high level, high quality and global standards of Mexican companies,” said Mexican Ambassador to China Jorge Guajardo. “Few companies represent so well the vision and tenacity that all Mexican companies strive to attain.”

The addition of GDC Wuxi reaffirms Softtek’s commitment to present robust delivery capabilities, which offer an alternative or complement to India-centric models.
