Softtek Opens New Global Delivery Center Office in A Coruña, Spain

The office seeks to further unify global operations and position Softtek for future growth

A CORUÑA, Spain, October 1, 2010 – Softtek, a global provider of IT and business process solutions and the largest private IT service provider in Latin America, held the inauguration, yesterday, of its new global delivery center (GDC) office in A Coruña, Spain. The office brings together valuable employment generation in the autonomous region of Galicia with the highest quality offerings to Softtek’s clients.

Attendees at the event included: Blanca Treviño, Softtek president and CEO; Doris Seedorf, CEO of Softtek Europe; Antonio Fontenla, president of the Confederation of Executives in Galicia and of the Mexican Council in A Coruña; Rafael Valcarce, president of the Territorial Council and the, Business Associations of Information and Communication Technologies in Galicia; and José María Barja, director of the University of A Coruña.

“A Coruña has been our home in Europe for over six years,” said Treviño, during the ceremony. “The excellent work we are able to do for our clients here, demonstrates the great talent of our Spanish colleagues.  Today, we reaffirm   Softtek’s commitment to generate value with our team, clients and the community.”

Softtek, a global company headquartered in Mexico, came to Spain, as it has come to other global regions, to offer high added-value technological solutions to both domestic and international markets. To do this, Softtek relies upon a model that is enriched with local talent and developed through establishing long-term commitments, which contribute to generating wealth at the local level.

The inauguration not only fulfills our logistical needs, but also makes evident our commitment to high quality services for our clients and associates. The new space complies with the highest standard of security and telecommunications, thus satisfying the demands of the industry while at the same time offering a pleasant environment for our workers.

“The economic challenges in Europe, Asia and the Americas have led the market to adopt more aggressive measures to reduce cost while maintaining service levels. Those outsourcing models like Softtek’s have proven to be effective and reliable in an environment that is still perceived as extremely volatile,” commented Treviño.

The company will continue servicing its corporate clients from Spain – as well as from the UK, Italy, Germany and France – from its new GDC office in A Coruña, while remaining dedicated to the Near Shore® model, which Softtek founded.
