Softtek Positioned in Niche Players Quadrant for North American Offshore Application Services, 2007

Evaluation Based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute.

Monterrey, Mexico, August 16, 2007 - Softtek, a global provider of IT and business process solutions and the largest private IT service provider in Latin America, announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Niche Players quadrant in the recently published ‘Magic Quadrant for North American Offshore Application Services, 2007’ report*.

”When we introduced the nearshore concept 10 years ago, we presented it as the perfect complement for a global sourcing model. We created a niche that today is being leveraged by clients and vendors alike,” said Blanca Treviño, president and CEO of Softtek. “We are pleased to be evaluated, which we believe to be recognition for our successful nearshore delivery, strong process maturity and governance across our Global Delivery Centers (GDCs) and proven client relationship model.”

According to the Gartner report; “Niche players focus on a particular segment of the market, as defined by such characteristics as functional area vertical industry, client size or project complexity. Their ability to execute is limited to those focus areas and assessed accordingly. Their ability to innovate may be affected by this narrow focus.”

Softtek serves its North American client base through a network of seven Global Delivery Centers; four in Mexico, two in Brazil and one in Spain. The company has also announced its intentions to start operations in China in the upcoming months as part of its plan for a more robust global delivery model.

Mrs. Treviño adds, “We are thrilled to be included in this reputable report; especially considering the high maturity of the marketplace; as it continues to be dominated by Indian-centric delivery, we are proud to be the company that represents Latin America.”
