Softtek Ranked as Super Company for Launching Young Careers

The firm takes third place in the ranking of CNN’s Expansion, Mexico’s leading business magazine (“Súper Empresas”), as the Mexican company with the highest scores.

MEXICO CITY – December 9, 2009 – Softtek, a global provider of IT and business process solutions and the largest private IT service provider in Latin America, is ranked third in the Mexican business magazine, Expansión, (‘The Best Companies for Launching your Career 2010’), which appeared in this year’s December 7 edition.

“Throughout more than 20 years we have matured our “Momentum” program of partnership with universities. This provides us with continual feedback from the academy, helping us to improve our talent development processes. It furthermore gives us the privilege of accessing the enormous talent base from university students in Mexico,” stated Luis Revilla, Softtek’s global vice president of Human Capital. “This recognition encourages us to continue promoting the development of our associates in a climate built on our corporate principles of openness and self-determination.”

Within the list, which includes 50 organizations, Softtek is in third place and is the only company from Mexico within the first six in the ranking. The ranking brings together the companies with the most advanced policies and practices to attract, retain, and develop young talent. The evaluation considers training programs, scholarship programs and partnership with universities, flexibility, as well as benefits and vacation time.

Softtek is the best-qualified IT company in the ranking, according to CNN Expansión magazine, in which Rodrigo Garcia, director of operations in Softtek China, states, “Being close to people (i.e. knowing who has an interest in traveling or living in another country, who is most enthusiastic about programming and/or analysis, etc.,) is key in order to retain them.”

During its 27 years in business, Softtek has earned a solid reputation in the IT industry for its unique culture based on promoting an entrepreneurial vision that has allowed the company to, among other achievements, implement its Global Nearshore™ model, which pairs a world-class execution with global proximity, with the objective of exporting top-quality services from Mexico.
