Mexico City. May 19th, 2008. - Softtek, the global provider of IT and business process solutions and the largest private service provider in Latin America, was considered as a “Super Company,” according to a research carried out by the advisory company Top Companies in the mid 2007 for Expansión magazine. Many firms from different sectors of the Mexican market participated in this process.

This ranking includes the corporations, which according to the results, consider their cultures and work environments as determinant factors for the zest and performance of their personnel, for this reason these organizations do several activities focused on achieve this objective.

The edition highlights that Softtek is within a business sector where a poor communication between technicians and customers can create an abyss. Moreover, it points out that even though diversity seems to be a justice question, for Softtek it is a productivity matter, since this firm fosters the diversity of opinions and teaches their personnel how to communicate them. “Our business is based on freedom of speech. Feedback is a daily matter and we have spend years teaching how to do it, how to express a judgment, how to make a promise and a complaint. If communication is not clear, relationships can result affected and that may costs a lot of money,” explained Ricardo Combariza, Softtek Mexico’s Communication and Culture manager.

When Luis Revilla, Human Capital Manager, was questioned about the role of the Softtek culture in this research, he replied: “In this case it is fundamental. The research approach comprises an 80% of what people answered through a poll and a 20% through our guidelines, processes, and evidences about our practices. A culture that just appears in a piece of paper only reflects a 20%; we must live our culture day after day, make it constantly by each conversation and each interaction.”

Softtek reaffirms that has a special and different culture in comparison with some competitors by positioning itself in the 50th place within this ranking. “Being able to say our culture is a distinctive makes us stronger, however, when someone else recognizes it make us feel proud and it confirms we are on the right track. It doesn’t mean that the work is done, undoubtedly it is a situation that demands a constant focus, energy, and worry, also it is important take the time to celebrate and enjoy this kind of recognitions,” concluded Luis Revilla.
