Softtek President & CEO to Speak at Milken Institute Global Conference 2016
Program features powerful leaders across all industries, including Tony Blaire, Al Gore and Tom Hanks

MONTERREY, Mexico – May 2, 2016 – Softtek, founder of the nearshore industry and leading global IT services provider dedicated to creating value through technology, today announced its President and CEO, Blanca Treviño, will speak at the Milken institute Global Conference 2016, taking place at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, California on May 1 through 4, 2016. More than 3,500 people from 55 countries and 45 states will gather for discussion across 11 content tracks, with the overarching theme exploring “The Future of Humankind.”

On Tuesday, May 3rd, Treviño will participate in two debates that highlight the underleveraged opportunities in Mexico in light of the country’s growing economy.

From 10:45am to 11:45am, Treviño will accompany former Mexican President Vicente Fox and CEO of Rassin Eugenio Madero in a roundtable discussion titled “Opportunities in Mexico.” The conversation will highlight how Mexico’s growing economy and challenges are attracting new business.

From 5pm to 6pm, Treviño will take part in a session titled “Mexico as a Global Powerhouse” to discuss the country’s poise for greatness amidst a growing middle class, booming manufacturing exports and strong ties with the US. Treviño will be joined by panelists Thaddeus Arroyo, CEO, AT&T Mexico; Pedro Aspe, Chairman, Evercore Partners Mexico; Francisco González Díaz, CEO, ProMéxico; and Alan Schwartz, Executive Chairman, Guggenheim Partners LLC.

In its 19th year, the Global Conference 2016 will feature more than 700 speakers, including major investors, CEOs, senior government officials, scientists, educators, philanthropists and journalists, will take part in 200 sessions at the conference. Blanca Treviño is a frequent presenter at international conferences on the topic of Latin America and the influence of technology for the economy. In 2015, Treviño was a featured panelist at the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund and the World Economic Forum on Latin America. She is a member of the board of: Walmart Mexico, Bimbo, ITESM, Goldcorp and most recently has been approved by the Mexican Senate to join the board of Mexico’s Federal Electricity Commission (Comisión Federal de Electricidad), the country’s second largest state-owned company after Pemex.
