A major European airline with an extensive network covering numerous domestic and international destinations.
Fleet of over
and cargo services
The airline was grappling with delayed timelines, escalating costs, and technical challenges amidst a multi-vendor landscape for a critical application migration project. It needed an experienced partner to:
Accelerate the application migration process by supporting and managing the target cloud environment.
Support the day-to-day operations of an expansive, multi-account, and multi-region AWS cloud environment.
Manage a complex hybrid networking architecture.
Improve SLAs for incident response and service management.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for seamless infrastructure provisioning.
Softtek provided end-to-end support for application migration and daily operational management, with special attention to hybrid networking.
Follow the sun + support towers: Deployed specialized teams across technology towers to manage ticketing (incidents, requests, problems, and changes), compute, and database services. A strong adherence to DevOps and IaC methodologies was maintained.
Native cloud service scope: Provided maintenance and support across an array of AWS services, including VPC, EC2, RDS, Systems Manager, Transit Gateways, Private Link, Direct Connect, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Control Tower, Service Catalog, S3, Route 53, Elastic Load Balancer, CloudFront Distributions, and many others.
Specialized support team: Deployed a dedicated team of engineers to fine-tune network components (firewalling, east-west, and north-south traffic), onboard third-party vendors and customers, and deliver value-added network improvements.
Strategic value-add: Our cloud architects worked closely with the client’s enterprise architecture team to identify opportunities to improve existing artifacts or innovate.
Softtek’s intervention led to a stable, secure, and well-governed multi-region and multi-account AWS environment.
Achieved support for an environment spanning over 100 accounts, with room for expansion.
Delivered 99.95% operational availability.
Provided the flexibility to onboard and support additional infrastructure components as they are transitioned from migration teams.
