MONTERREY, Mexico – November 16, 2023 –
Softtek, a global company dedicated to helping organizations evolve through digital technology, today announced its strategic alliance with Udemy, a skills marketplace and online learning platform. The signing of this agreement, which took place on November 15 in Monterrey, marks a significant milestone in Softtek's ongoing commitment to education and the well-being of different communities.
This partnership will allow students from Codellege, an education project by Softtek, to access the platform and benefit from a wide range of online courses. In total, 500 licenses have been acquired to expand access to education and provide high-quality learning opportunities to a broader audience.
Through Codellege, Softtek promotes programming as an educational and employment inclusion path for young people and adults facing economic or social vulnerability.
In addition to reducing dropout rate in courses, this collaboration will also give Codellege students the flexibility to study at a time that suits their schedules, crucial for those wishing to continue their professional development without compromising work or academic responsibilities.
Raphael Spinelli, LATAM Regional Director at Udemy, stated: "Udemy is committed to collaborating with Softtek to provide flexible and effective learning opportunities for students in Latin America. Now more than ever, it is vital for students to constantly acquire new emerging skills to drive growth and future success."
Fernando Nava, Sustainability Director at Softtek, expressed, "We are excited to join forces with Udemy in this joint mission to make quality education accessible to everyone. This partnership reflects Softtek's ongoing commitment to empower communities through education and is a significant step towards a brighter future for many."
This alliance allows Softtek to reach more students, expand its educational reach, and customize learning paths for Codellege, contributing to greater student success. With courses available in 14 languages, it facilitates global reach and international learning opportunities.
Codellege has welcomed young people and adults from cities such as Monterrey, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, Córdoba, Spain, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Bogotá, Colombia, seeking job opportunities in a constantly growing sector. By increasing their family income, students also accelerate the economic development of the community, expanding job opportunities for those involved. It is expected that 5,000 students will graduate from Codellege by 2030.About Udemy:
